Delighted and thrilled for Staffan and Monique Tollgard and their talented design team at Staffan Tollgard Design Group for making the front cover of Interior Designer Magazine’s September 2018 issue.

The front cover image of the entrance hallway forms the start of the design journey of this Victorian property’s well proportioned, distinctive architecture together with the Client’s passion for modern and traditional Ethiopian art and artefacts. The solid timber bench by Riva 1920 adds contrast and gravitation under the arch.

My favourite element of the composition is the ping of colour on the bench; perhaps a subtle nod to the distinctive red thread which runs through every Tollgard design story.

The project, a beautifully designed celebration of vibrant colours, textures, art and worldly artefacts, was captured during the early part of what turned into an unusually glorious British Summer and can be viewed in full on the Tollgard website.
